Novospassky Monastery (New Monastery of the Savior, Russian: Новоспасский монастырь, romanized: Novospasskiy monastyr') is one of the fortified monasteries surrounding Moscow from the south-east. Like all medieval Russian monasteries, it was built by the Russian Orthodox Church.
